"Joint & Naval Training Technology Evolution - Opportunities and Challenges"
Presented by CAE
Presenter:
Jeff Tasseron (Head of Business Development & Strategy @ CAE Defence & Security Canada)
Against growing international geopolitical uncertainty, Canadian procurement is accelerating, and a wide range of new platforms and operational technologies are nearing introduction. At the same time, legacy training establishments across the CAF are challenged as never before in terms of available intake, instructor availability and experience levels, and the ability to adapt training syllabi to new delivery methods. What can we reasonably expect from the next generation of training technologies nearing introduction, how do we break out of the perennial and deeply misguided tendency to treat training systems and structures as an afterthought to platform acquisition, and how do we start to move the needle from individual training to better address crew and collective training, on the road to readiness?
